Aurica Avonaires
Aurica Avonaires is a Russian-American soprano, raised in Moscow. She graduated from GITIS with a Master’s degree (highest honors as an actress), also receiving a Master’s degree (with highest honors) from Moscow State University of Culture and Arts. She won 2nd Prize in: the “XXI Century Art” Italy, Lonigo, the Ukraine International Voice Competition Ukraine, Kiev, and the Russian Patriotic Songs Competition. Twice she has been the recipient of grants provided by the Russian Performing Arts Public Foundation. Aurica made her opera debut in the title role of Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta, and has performed with such orchestras as: the Brass Band Orchestra of the Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow Concert Brass Orchestra, the Moscow Youth Chamber Orchestra, and the Moscow Big Folk Orchestra.
