Donna Anna

Cuban-American soprano, Catherine Anotnia Kenney, is a passionate and expressive performer described as having "Lamborghini level sound with beauty, sass, and heart". While studying Vocal Performance at Azusa Pacific University, she was invited to and participated in the Angels Vocal Arts Vittorio Grigòlo Master Class and awarded as an official Grant Recipient with Opera Buffs. Notable performances include Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel, Ginevra in Ariodante, and The Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro. She is a proud Co-Founder of the all-women classical singing group, The Los Angeles Belles, that promotes strong women performers and modern composers' new works. Alongside her passion for music, she volunteers her time with Young Women's Task Force of Los Angeles working with homeless shelters assisting women with children, and manages a private scholarship fund supporting aspiring young musicians throughout Los Angeles. She hopes to one day continue her philanthropic efforts by combining her love of giving back to her community and her passion for music with her own afterschool music program catered towards the inner city high schools of Los Angeles. She spent the summer 2019 in Berlin singing with Berlin Opera Academy as a featured soloist in the Opernfest Aria Abend Gala and covered Donna Anna in Don Giovanni. Upcoming performances include being the featured Soprano Soloist in Händel's Messiah and Annual Christmas Concert with Presbyterian Church of the Master.
