Richard Hughes (Tenor). Dick Hails from South Wales and attributes his love for singing to his Welsh genes. With the encouragement of his family and friends, He began studying voice with Phillip Martyn in his mid 30’s.


Dick has sung extensively with choral groups, including several years with “The Noteables.” His repertoire includes Faure’s Requiem, Mozart’s Requiem, and Haydn’s Last Words of Christ. His opera experience includes Mission Operas production of Gianni Schicchi, the role of King Kaspar in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Girgio in The Gondoliers and in the chorus of Romeo et Juliette.


He Currently sings with the Santa Clarita United Methodist Church Chancel Voices, under the direction of Dr. Joshua Wentz.
