Genghong Cai

Tenor

Genghong Cai is a Chinese Tenor from Guangdong China.  Genghong Cai is a master voice student of Dr. Hugo Vera at California State University, Northridge where he is pursuing his Master of Music degree in vocal performance. He graduated from Arkansas State University with his Bachelor of Music degree. Genghong was a member of Arkansas State Singing Statemen as well as the opera program on campus. With regard to opera, his leading roles include First Amoure Man from Die Zauberflote, Comte Barigoule from “Cendrillon”, Beppe from Rita, Bill in the Hand of Bridge scene, and Almaviva in the Il Barbiere di Siviglia scene. In the past, Genghong has participated in the NATS competitions at the state and regional level and won first place in 2022 and second place in 2019. Genghong has been awarded the Jeffrey Steward Memorial Scholarship and a Choral Scholarship for the last three years.
