Stephan Nieman

Assistant Director

Stephan Nieman is a Jewish-American Theatre Director from the LA area. He recently graduated from the prestigious East 15 Acting School (#1 Drama School in the UK) and received his MFA in Directing with Merit. He graduated from CSUN in 2018 with a bachelor’s in Theatre Arts. He started directing at the age of 16. Stephan’s most recent theatre credits include The Lesson by Ienesco, Democracy by Rhys Clark, Paula Vogel’s Indecent, Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Twelfth Night, The Pillowman, The Diary of Anne Frank, Blood on thy Hands, Titus Andronicus, Connections and Confrontations, Trail to Oregon, and The Gondoliers. Their most significant influence had been the studies of Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed, Aristotle’s Poetics, and Bertolt Brecht’s Epic Theatre. And is the current founder of the Bridgeway Theatre Company.
