Brooke Iva Lohman

Hailed as “witty, adorable, and one to watch” (Lauri’s List), soprano Brooke Iva Lohman is an active performer throughout California. Ms. Lohman has performed with Opera Santa Barbara, Pacific Opera Project, Glendale Opera, Orange County Opera, Independent Opera, Mission Opera, and Landmark Opera, singing lead roles as well as covering other roles. Internationally, she has traveled to Germany to perform the Lieder of Richard Strauss at the Schloss Freudental in Allensbach for their “Wine &...” concert series, and at the Hochschule für Musik, Trossingen. Highlight performances include Adele (Die Fledermaus), Monica (The Medium), the title role in the West Coast premiere of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Snow Maiden (Snegúrochka), Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), Olympia (Les contes d’Hoffmann), Atalanta (Serse), Madame Goldentrill (Der Schauspieldirektor), and three of Gilbert & Sullivan’s well-known heroins: Mabel (Pirates of Penzance), Josephine (HMS Pinafore), and Yum-Yum (The Mikado). Her concert performances include Faure’s Requiem, Haydn’s Nelson Mass, Bach’s Ein feste Burg and Cantata No. 51, Rutter’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, and Mozart’s Requiem. Brooke was the Cal-Western Region Winner for the 2020 NATS Artist Awards competition and was awarded the Irvin Bushman Award, is a recipient of the Anna Sosenko Assist Trust grant, the Opera Buffs grant, the Opera Guild of Southern California Scholarship, and the Northridge Arts Council Scholarship. She received her MM with distinction in Vocal Performance from California State University, Northridge, and her BM in Vocal Performance from California Baptist University.
