On Tuesday, December 12, 2021, Mission Opera released "Song to the Moon," a gorgeous aria from the opera Rusalka, from Czech composer Antonin Dvorak. This was sung by Soprano Diana Briscoe under a full moon at Castaic Lake and set cinematically as part of our Aria Series project, a collaboration with Exploration Music Project.
Dr. Kathryn Pisaro, a musicologist and oboist who teaches at California State University Northridge and California Institute of Arts joined us for a pre-aria lecture to give an overview, history, and context for this amazing composer, opera, and aria.
