Steve “Mor” Moritsugu originated the role of Mr Li in a new 2023 musical by Nathan Wang called Shanghai World Emporium and will repeat in 2025. He played Hercule Poirot in The Italian Lesson, 2023, and Manny in The Blur, 2024, both original operas by Peter Wing Healey. He sang Goro with Mission Opera, 2024, and sang chorus/Tybalt cover, 2023. He sang Dr Caius for Lyric Opera of OC, 2024, and Tybalt, 2023. He sang Yamadori for POP, 2024, and a recital of Japanese art songs; On Gold Mountain for LA Opera Connects, 2022. He sang Otello with VTO, 2017. He has sung the Messiah tenor solos in Japanese and English and many principal tenor roles.
