Matthew Ellison

Tenor

Tenor Matthew Ellison has enjoyed the privilege of performing all over Southern California. From Pasadena City College and California State University Northridge, to Celebration Theatre and the Pasadena Playhouse. Local Opera buffs may recognize Matthew as either Brucolé or Malbarba from his recent US debut of Dominico Chimarosa’s Li Sposi per accidente . In addition to opera Matthew’s two main passions are musical theatre and choral music he has performed in many musicals around Southern California such as, Jason Robert Browns Parade, Into the Woods by Steven Sondheim, and Rent. Matthew has performed in choirs all through high school and college at the competitive level and has had the honor of singing with conductors such as Donald Brinnegar, John Sutton, Paul Smith, and Paul Solomonovitch. Matthew is overjoyed and so excited and thankful to be working with such a talented group of singers and artists.
